About the School

WELCOME FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Welcome William Land (WL) Lions!  You are making history at WL as we embark on 111 years together.  Our school is embodied with dedicated and talented staff, determined and focused students, and committed and supportive PTA and community partners.  WL stands and delivers with a staff-created Focus Wheel which outlines non-negotiable expectations we have of ourselves to remain student-centered.  Teaching and learning at WL extend beyond the four walls of the classroom as we strive to cultivate a school-wide community that practices the 7 Habits of Leader in Me.  It is the highest honor for our faculty and staff to be a part of this educational journey with our families and students.  

2008 & 2018: Recognized as Distinguished School

2018: Recognized as one of 12 schools in CA to receive the Exemplary Arts Program Award

2024: Named to the Educational Rights Partnership Honor Roll by Eight Senate District
